Aiza Abid

Aiza Abid has been a life-long advocate for children's rights. In 2013, she founded an international, volunteer-based children's charity, Aiza’s Teddybear Foundation, to provide physical and emotional support to children in need. Each year, she works to make thousands of books, toys, and clothing items like new for under-resourced children around the globe. Aiza serves as a Plan International Canada youth ambassador, member of the United Nations Environment Programme's Children & Youth Major Group, advisory board member at Ascend Canada, and is currently completing a Masters in Public Policy at the Max Bell School of Public Policy. Aiza is committed to helping young people realize their rights and freedoms through service-based learning, storytelling, and social impact activities.
