RE17 Conference Workshop Host

Ayisha Khanh Hilal

Ayisha is a third year student at McGill University undertaking a double major in Political Science and International Development Studies with a minor in Economics. For the past two years she has been heavily involved in the International Relations Student Association at McGill (IRSAM), which is MYAD’s parent organization. Within IRSAM, she competes across North America as a delegate on the university’s Model United Nations Delegations Team and works alongside a group of students to organize and host a Model UN conference for highschool students. Within MYAD, her role is that of  a UN Communications Officer. Throughout the year she engages in outreach to various UN Permanent Missions, (youth) NGOs, and other groups or individuals in the realm of policy making and diplomacy in order to facilitate meetings and collaboration. Additionally, she works with her fellow officers to create (joint) written and oral statements as well as organize side events for various commissions. Outside of university she enjoys learning new languages - currently she is learning French in an immersive program.
